DMX started rapping from the mid 1990s. In May 1998, He released his first album, It's DARK and HOT. Other albums include... and There was X, the Great Depression Year of the Dog... again the Redemption of the Beast Gran Champ, Flesh of Blood Flesh. His album... And There was X received a Grammy award in 2001, for the Best Rap Album. The success of his music was further enhanced by his appearances in such films such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five - Exit Wounded Never Die Alone The Bleeding Romeo must die Backstage - Beyond the Law Lockjaw - Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
